What’s spoofing?

 What’s spoofing? Like are they actually making 62 HNT or is it just falsely displaying 62 HNT?

spoofing is where people falsely assert the location of a hotspot and the network algorithm uses that data to reward based on the falsified location. helium has made minimal effort to curb these instances.

false location isn’t what’s the issue rumor is 

they are using listeners to passively relay beacons back to their miner so they can hear lots of witnesses and report it without having to deployment a crapload of miners or that’s what I’ve heard is most likely the case.  The high assert is just them trying to explain away how they are hearing so much which we all know is BS.
